Outside of science, I enjoy hiking and traveling with my wife and kids. I’m also an avid pianist. I enjoy playing the classics with a casual attitude toward tempo and the composer's musical intent.

I live in Maine, where the winters are cold but our pets aren’t. I keep them warm with a variety of blankets and hats.
